The Town Council is supported by the office of Town Clerk, and we have 28 other staff to ensure delivery of the decisions of the Council, and provide support to councillors. As a new councillor you will be able to seek procedural advice and guidance from the Clerk as well as through the Dorset Association of Parish and Town Councils. Appropriate training will also be arranged, and some of your fellow councillors will be experienced so can help you get ‘up to speed’.
