Annual Grants

Bridport Town Council awards grants each year to local organisations that work for the benefit of the town.  The grants are intended for charitable, voluntary or similar bodies and not for private organisations or individuals.  We operate two grants schemes each year, the community grants scheme and the West Bay Car Boot Sale grants scheme.

Community Grants Scheme

The Council’s community grants scheme runs once a year, with applications opening in June and grants awarded in September.  The scheme for 2023/2024 is now closed.  The closing date for applications was Thursday 24 August, at 5.00pm.

West Bay Car Boot Sale Grants Scheme

The Town Council manages the West Bay Car Boot Sale, and distributes the funds generated from pitch fees in the form of grants to community and voluntary organisations whose work benefits people living in the Bridport Local Area Partnership area.

The Car Boot Sale Grants Scheme for 2023/24 is now open for applications.  Please follow this link.

The main entrance is in Lower Walditch Lane.  For information about grave spaces, fees for burial plots, interments and erecting a headstone or tablet, please contact Claire Peters-Way, e-mail: [email protected], or telephone the Town Council on 01308 456722.

Plots cannot be purchased in the Woodland Burial Area.  There is, therefore, no exclusive right of burial.  Please contact the Town Council regarding fees for interments in this area.
