Bridport Market is gradually returning to its full strength. We will continue to operate in line with government guidelines and this does mean that there will be some restrictions on the number, type or size of stalls we can safely allow but we are now considering applications from new traders.

If you previously applied during lockdown and have not yet heard back from us then you may wish to email us at enquiries@bridport-tc.gov.uk

If you have not applied before and wish to have a stall on the market, you will need to complete an application form and return a signed copy of the acknowledgement page of the Terms and Conditions.  The forms and relevant supporting information can be found below:

Occasionally it will be necessary to make changes and amendments to our terms and conditions.  The current version will always be the one shown by using the link above and this is the version that will be applied in all circumstances and that signatories are agreeing to abide by.

Bridport Cemetery was opened in 1856 when St Mary’s Churchyard in South Street was closed to new burials.  The original entrance to the cemetery was on the Dorchester Road where the old gates can still be seen.

The main entrance is in Lower Walditch Lane.  For information about grave spaces, fees for burial plots, interments and erecting a headstone or tablet, please contact Claire Peters-Way, e-mail: Claire.Peters-Way@bridport-tc.gov.uk, or telephone the Town Council on 01308 456722.

Plots cannot be purchased in the Woodland Burial Area.  There is, therefore, no exclusive right of burial.  Please contact the Town Council regarding fees for interments in this area.
