Bridport Town Council boundaries from 1 April 2024This page provides information for residents about the next Town Council election, which takes place on 2 May 2024.

This election will be the first following the expansion of the Town Council boundary on 1 April 2024.  As well as being a bigger area incorporating most of the former parishes of Allington, Bothenhampton & Walditch, and Bradpole, the town will split into five wards (previously two) as shown on the accompanying map.  The map also shows the number of council seats available at the election.  Click on the map to view an enlarged version.

A more detailed interactive map is available at https://shared.xmap.cloud/?map=1613c0d9-ceb8-47c3-b7f8-20b172662fa8, enabling residents to identify which ward their home is in.

Click here to view a list of the candidates standing for election in each ward.

If you are a voter in one of the five wards, please remember that you can vote for (up to) as many candidates as there are seats in that ward – three in Bothenhampton & Walditch, five in Bradpole, five in Bridport Central, five in Bridport West & Allington, and two in West Bay.

Voters will also need to provide proof of identity when voting – click here to see the acceptable forms of identification.
