Call for Community Steering Group Members
The Bridport Area Neighbourhood Plan was officially ‘made’ by Dorset Council in May 2020 and the Final Version of the plan is available as a download from:
We are now moving into the implementation, monitoring and review stage for the neighbourhood plan and a call is going out for community volunteers interested in making sure that the neighbourhood plan has real impact in guiding development in and around Bridport. The Community Steering Group will work with the parish and town councils to undertake defined pieces of research and survey work as well as contribute to planning policy work.
We are keen to hear from people with knowledge and experience in the following subjects; climate change, housing, economy, transport, community facilities, landscape and heritage. A person specification is available setting out the roles and responsibilities for the Community Steering Group and how to apply, see:
The deadline for expressions of interest in being a member of the Community Steering Group is July 25th 2020. We are looking for up to 9 Members to form the Community Steering Group with an expectation of at least 4 meetings a year with periods of more intense activity depending on subject and the type and scale of development coming forward over the coming years.
